17 Months Old, Today

Her next checkup won’t be until she turns 18 months…so no height, weight statistics to report, although, I would venture to say she’s still on the shrimpy side.

Little Diva

Her newest word is purple…everything is purple, even red and yellow things are purple.

She doesn’t talk a whole lot, in the English language that is…but likes to jabber away to anyone in her own little language to anyone who will listen.

She LOVES to go down the slide…any slide…anywhere (see video below).

Her kitty blanket continues to be her “best friend”. We don’t let her take her kitty out of her crib, and every morning she has to toss it and her pacifier in the crib before she can come out. Well, just within the last month or so, before she tosses her kitty in she’ll give it a quick hug and then drop it and say bye. I kid you not, it is hilarious.

She is a natural born cheerleader. She claps and says “Yea!” more than the entire squad of Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders in any given day. Her teachers at daycare tell me that whether the other little kids in her class are doing something right or wrong, Vivianne cheers. When it’s her turn she gets so excited that she stands up and claps for herself before she even plays the game.

She loves music and dancing to it – especially Itsy Bitsy Spider, Old MacDonald, BINGO, and Patty cake.

If you sing her the ABCs she will clap at the end, every single time…

Popsicles top her list of favorite snacks.

She doesn’t watch TV except for maybe an occasional bonus round of Wheel of Fortune, but if we put the DVD Baby Noah in, it will entertain her for a good thirty minutes any day of the week.

She’s the smallest one in her class but has the biggest appetite. Her teachers tell me she will have finished her helping of lunch before they have finished serving the rest of the class. And she will most likely have seconds or even thirds if she’s real hungry.

Her hair is growing! Yippee! (Mom’s happy about that one)

One thing she learned recently was throwing stuff away in the garbage. We will give her something and ask her to go throw it away and she’ll take it and off she’ll go to the garbage and she’ll open the cupboard and toss it in and close the cupboard. I wonder how old she needs to be until she is able to fetch us something from the fridge! Just kidding!

You know something cool…it’s 8:00 am on Sunday and she’s still sleeping…God bless this child☺

This video was taken yesterday. Check out the static electricity in her hair!!
