Buds
The other day Vivianne said to me, “Mommy, you are Dora’s mommy.”
I said, “Oh, I am?”
“Yep.”
“Are you Dora then?” I ask.
“Yea! And (as she points to Lilah) that’s Boots.”
She's on a roll...
| Lilah has slept through the night for three days straight! We tried the “cry it out” method on Saturday night after talking with friends who encouraged us to give it a try. She cried for about 45 minutes that night. It was pure torture. I drug my pillow into the bathroom and turned the fan on about half way through her crying spell, it was awful (Vivianne, however, slept through the ENTIRE thing…and she was about 3 feet away). Lilah finally stopped crying and passed out from exhaustion I’m sure. But, the good news is she slept through the following night, the next and last night, without waking up once. Yea, Lilah! |  |
Our niece, Sidney, turned 3 on Sunday!
We enjoyed spending the BIG day with her :-) Here are a couple of pics from our trip.

Vivianne and Sid even got to help make the frosting for the cake…Mmmmmm…there were tummy aches that night from too much sugar, but I bet if you asked Vivianne she’d tell you it was worth it ;-) |

Will she roll from back to tummy?
She’s been hanging out on her side a lot lately…we are just waiting for her to roll from back to tummy. She got her first taste of baby food today, sweet potatoes—Yummy!
Just bought myself some time
I am letting Vivianne use the scissors (kid-friendly). She has been content for the past twenty minutes…this is a long stretch of time for her. She’s obviously used a scissors at preschool because she just said to me as she pointed to the scissors handle, “Mom, this is the hot dog hole and this is the bean hole.”
It took me a minute to figure out what she meant but then it was obvious, “Ah, yes, ok sweetie.”
