Guess who's got pink eye?
Vivianne woke up today with her eye crusted over and nearly swollen shut. So we took her to the doctor this morning, already assuming it was pink eye, being it has been going around her daycare for the last two weeks. So we are now attempting to put drops in both of her eyes—the doc pretty much said it will eventually spread to the other eye, so it’s better to treat them both at the same time. It’s quite difficult putting drops in someone else’s eyes…there have some failed missions, but we are hoping at least one of the drops lands in her eye.
Happy 10 Months Old!
It’s hard to believe that Vivianne is already 10 months old. It won’t be long now and her age will be measured in years versus months. She’s crawling all over the place. Her favorite thing is pulling up to a standing position. Today, I saw her let go and stand by herself for a few seconds before losing her balance. She eats mostly all table food now, occasionally she’ll have cereal (oatmeal). She still loves to play on her piano, but now prefers playing standing up. She continues to babble and make LOUD noises. I love when she giggles. Sometimes when Thomas or I are laughing, she’ll start laughing, it’s pretty cute. My “scary witch” laugh, always gets her going. When we took her to the doctor last Saturday for pink eye, she weighed 19 pounds 9.5 ounces!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I surprised Thomas this year by getting Vivianne a onesie that said “I (picture of a heart) Papa”. I quick dressed her this morning and waited for him to notice. When he finally did, he got the biggest kick out of it. He told her out of all of her clothes, this was by far his favorite;-)
All three of us ended up going out to dinner this evening to celebrate. Vivianne had her first taste of chocolate cake with ice cream. She LOVED it! But who wouldn’t, right?
We had two different people come to our table and say what a cute little guy “he” is…meaning Vivianne, not Thomas (in case you were confused). We laughed and tried to play it off, but then they ended up asking us what “his” name was, and then we had to explain that “he” was actually a she!
Hope everyone had a Happy Valentine’s Day (this was our 12th Valentine’s Day together)!
Her new thing...
We’ve been giving Vivianne her baths in the big tub for a while now and she just loves to watch the water fill up the tub. She will stand there and just watch it. She gets so excited because she knows that it won’t be long and she’ll get to go in. If she could crawl over the side of the tub, we think she would.
Giggling in the tub!
Sometimes Vivianne will start to laugh if she hears Tom or I laughing. (It’s so cute, even when it’s obvious she’s faking it.)
I took this video tonight hoping to capture a few moments of her splashing, and this is what transpired—
