Can you guess where she's hiding?

20 Months Old, Time is Flying

Update:

She just learned to say, “Hi, Papa and Hi, Mommy.” Although, it still sounds a bit like one word;-)

She’s turned into quite the little mommy. She’s really into changing her puppy’s diaper, feeding him, reading to him, etc. We think she’s going to have quite the imagination!

Absolutely squeals when Dad chases her around the house…she will be running and yell, “Mommy!” as she passes by me, in hopes that I will save her!

She has become very ticklish! Especially under her chin and armpits. Dad is the best tickler.

Has developed some sort of mild obsession with her shoes…she likes to choose which ones she will wear each day. I took her to daycare in her sweats and her dressy shoes—-I told her teacher, “Don’t ask.” She just laughed!

As seen in the video below, she also likes to play hide and seek, mostly just hide though:-)

A few things I don't want to forget...

As 2008 comes to an end, I think back to what an amazing year it has been, filled with so many memories. This particular post is to help me remember just a few of those that I don’t want to forget.

Vivianne in 2008

1) Driving over a set of railroad tracks or seeing a train pass by would trigger Vivianne to say, “Choo, Choo!” followed by, “Papa, Papa!” (We’d drop Dad off at the train each day, so she associated anything train-related to him.)

2) Picking up Vivianne from daycare. She’d see me and start running towards me at full speed and then give me the biggest hug and wouldn’t let go.

3) When she wanted to run real fast, she would put her head down. Boy, she thought she was movin’ then!

4) Her dance moves. They looked like something that you might have seen, ol’ George, from the TV show, “The Jeffersons” do.

5) The pitter-patter of her feet.

6) She would put her toy bucket on her head like it was a hat and walk around all proud of herself.

7) When you’d ask her to say, “circle” she’d say, “shoe” as clear as can be.

8) The first animal sound she learned—Owl, “who, who.”

9) The first color she learned to say, purple.

10) Her love of running around naked after her bath.

11) The little squeals she would let out when we’d chase her around the house.

12) Her in feet pajamas…priceless.

Daycare Winter Holiday Show, 2008

The Winter Holiday Show’s theme was December Holidays Celebrated All Over the World. Vivianne’s class performed a little skit to “It’s Kwanzaa Time.” Kwanzaa is an African holiday. All the kids were suppose to wear bright bold colors. They lined up at one end of the gym and were suppose to walk across the gym, holding a gift in honor of Kwanzaa and put it on the table. After that, they were to sit down and play with the Kwanzaa sticks to the beat of the music.

The first four kids had already gone and the video begins with her turn (she’s in purple, with the multi-colored leg warmers holding the candlesticks). We didn’t think she was going to make it at first, she started to go off course, but was quickly re-directed by a teacher. She was moving at turtle-speed and was passed once or twice by a fellow classmate;-) Thomas said she must have been doing all she could to stall so she could soak up the spotlight!

Without further adieu, our star:
