Jenny's 10 Year Reunion

We left for ND last Wednesday. It was my 10 year class reunion. There wasn’t a large turnout, but it was a good time. Here are a couple pics:

The Internet is Awesome

The internet is so frickin’ awesome. It never ceases to amaze me. How did we survive without the internet…I have no recollection of what life was like before the worldwide web…I must not have been born yet:-)

I could go on an on about how it totally helped me today, but I will just sum it up by saying it’s awesome.

4 Month Check-Up

Vivianne had her four month check-up this past Friday. She had to get five vaccinations, one oral and four shots, two in each thigh. She was not a happy camper…she fussed that whole evening and the ENTIRE next day. She was so uncomfortable, her poor little legs were so stiff. She wanted to be held ALL the time…she made mom work this weekend (mom’s exhausted…Vivianne’s not so little anymore, carrying her around all day was tiring). She seems to be just now getting back to her old self, I was able to get a few smiles out of her (below) in her new chair we bought her on Saturday.

She weighs 13 pounds, 6 ounces (50th percentile) and is 23 3/4 inches tall (25th percentile). She’s definitely growing:-)

The doctor said she may start getting a few teeth soon…typically babies get their first teeth between 6-9 months…but apparently Vivianne may be one of the exceptions…as her gums are already starting to swell a bit and she has become a full blown drool queen! We basically keep a bib on her at all times, it has become an accessory to every outfit she owns (in the photo below, you can see the entire top of her dress is soaked in drool, I thought I’d take the bib off for the picture…probably not the wisest decision.)

Vivianne & Jayden's Play Date (our little monkeys)

Here’s a video of Vivianne and her friend Jayden…vocals by Jayden’s mom:-)

We’ve had the girls together numerous times since they’ve been born, but I think today was the first time they actually seemed to notice one another, it only took 4 months!

Weekend in Galena, IL

I surprised Thomas this past weekend and booked a room at a cottage outside a little town called Galena, Il (northwestern illinois). It was so much fun! The cottage had a hot tub right outside on the patio, so after Vivianne went to bed we hopped in and relaxed, it was the perfect night for hot tubbing, a little cool, and it even sprinkled on and off throughout the night. We went into Galena on Sunday and walked around downtown and grabbed lunch. Galena is a really cute little town with TONS of little shops that sell just about anything and everything…it’s a miracle I didn’t buy anything. The northwestern part of Illinois is filled with rolling hills, old farmsteads, and trees. It is very beautiful.
