Our Vermont Trip
Last Thursday, Thomas and I flew out to Vermont to visit our good friends Will and Ann Mills. They live in Rochester, a town of about 1300, which is pretty much located in the dead center of state. We lucked out and were able to get there just in time to catch the tail end of the foliage season. Vermont has tons of trees and they were beautiful! The pictures I took do not show it off very well, but there was such a variance of vibrant color that we ooed and awed over the whole weekend.
On Friday, we got the BIG tour of Rochester which was so cute. We ate a yummy breakfast at the local cafe and then drove to an even smaller town called Granville to a glass blower’s shop. He is one of about 1,000 glass blowers in the U.S. We were able to watch him work while we looked around his store. Then we went to an old bowl mill. We watched the crew make wooden bowls out of logs. It was interesting to see how it was done. Our friends took us by the Commune, which back in the day is where a bunch of hippies lived and did crazy stuff.
On Saturday, we went to the Farmers Market in Waitsfield. It was fun. We saw one of the last covered bridges in the state and drove over Lincoln Mountain and headed down to see some snow geese. We ended up going out to dinner at the Peavine in Stockbridge.
On Sunday, we relaxed mostly in the morning. We stopped in New London, a quaint little town to grab a bite to eat before heading to the Manchester, NH airport.
Our trip was so much fun. It was great to see our friends. Here are a few pictures.

Surprise!
Baby Kersten is due April 9th! (About a week and a half after John and Kris’s baby is due)
We are so excited :-)
