Condo Project Update
Here are a few updated pictures of what the place is looking like these days (click the image to see others). While I was in Denmark/Holland for work, Jenny had the baseboards put in as a surprise and the countertop installers were able to come over and get our new countertops in….so we have a kitchen we can USE now! Let us know what you think…
Lake Forest Tree Lighting Ceremony
Tonight Thomas and I went to the Lake Forest Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event was so much cooler than either of us ever expected that it’s hard to explain, but I will do my best.
The weather was perfect for the occasion, the snow had just started to fall when we left to head down to the market square (which is basically the center of town right across from the train station and near all the shops). They city blocked off the main street so the high school choir students could sent up risers and sing Christmas carols, occasionally the crowd would join in too. There were a couple of ice scultpures on display and free hot cocoa for everyone. At 5:15 the MC got on the microphone and started the countdown…5,4,3,2,1….And all of a sudden the whole town lit up all at once! All the trees that lined the streets and the market square area sparkeled in white lights. It was truly magical and something we will never forget.

Project Flooring...Completed!
Thomas finished up laying the last of the flooring tonight in the entryway, hallway and bathroom. We were planning on tiling the bathroom but decided to keep the laminate flooring throughout the whole place. So now the floor is done. We are loving it!
One project done…many more to go :-)
